A day of rest

Sunday is meant to be the day of rest and today exceeded that expectation!

A day of wii play with my lil fella and lots of chilling. Clearly not much to report but I did realise today how much I really like twiglets. Which is odd, as I detest marmite. My memories of my sister when we were growing up stinking of marmite as she used to spread it thicker than road tar on her sarnies. I swear I can still it smell it now. Its funny how childhood smells stay with you. Not just marmite but also playdoh. That was one of the best smells ever. And not only did it smell good it tasted great! It wasn't like I actually ate playdoh but i did used to lick it! I'm sure I wasn't alone in this ..... although reading that back it's entirely possible I am completely alone in this!

Anyway .... off for playdoh filled dreams now! Night night all xx

Miracle bones and a £3000 fountain

So i visited the hospital yesterday fully expecting to be booked in for my bionic ankle. Imagine my surprise when I was told that against all odds my ankle will require no surgery, I'm fairly sure that the doctor then in fact used the word miracle and at some point may have likened to Jesus C himself. At least that's what i chose to hear. So with my newly acquired self healing skeleton I had a fantastic day.

Today I was back in work, back in the cash office where the only radio station available to us is BBC Essex which is without question the worst radio station darkening the airwaves. Who does a phone in for dog poo, the BNP and postman who just putting slips saying "sorry I missed you ..." when they didn't even knock in one show?? BBC Essex that's who. Utter rubbish. While slowly boiling up inside due to the rubbishness of this station I fumbled the wad of money I was holding and managed to make a fountain out of the £3000 of notes. I'll be interested to watch it back in CCTV as it looked impressive the first time around, but to see it from a new angle and with my look of shock, then amusement, then frustration at having to pick it all up off the floor will be well worth a viewing!

Onto a night now of Batman Arkham Asylum and probably X factor ... even though I hate it.

p.s Chewy .... you can thank me later for not mentioning the New London Road stalling incident

p.p.s oops haha

A day of mixed fortunes

This morning I made the worst cup of tea in history. I put the milk in while my pg pyramid was still in the cup and this never leads to a decent brew. I took this shortcut because my lil fella had the milk out for his cereal and to save me hopping to the fridge I used it too early. Yet another example of how my stupid ankle is stopping me from functioning on a day to day basis.

I'm having lunch with my great friend Chewy today which is definitely something to look forward to. Then he's taking me to tesco where he will push me around in a wheelchair so I can get stuff for dinner. Then its off to the hospital which I am not looking forward to. The bottom of my cast is so dirty from the warehouse floor at work! So I'm in for another verse of "what did we tell you last week" and such. I hate waiting around in hospitals!!

Then this evening I am having a quiet night in with my man, making him some fajitas and chilling in front of the tv.

So that is the shape of my day .... the crap bits will no doubt be crappy but there will be more fun stuff than crap. Positive Mental Attitude haha

Working nine to five ....

Due to my crap ankle I am learning how to work in the cash office at my place of work. This is the closest I have ever been or would like to be to having a proper office job. The constant pressure of having cameras on me is a constant reminder as to why I wouldn't fare well on big brother. I feel the need to over exaggerate my every move to prove I am not stuffing £20 notes into my bra as I work and when alone feel very aware when I begin singing aloud, even though the cctv captures no sound. Burning in the back of my mind is a memory from another store I used to work at where the 6ft 3" security guard jumped onto the chair only for the chair to slide away on the wheels beneath it, leaving him sprawled across the floor looking at the camera with a look of vain hope that they were not recording at that moment. They were. And as such that moment is Tesco Barkingside folk lore. The sad reality that I will one day be laughed at for missing a moving chair is all to real right now.

Tonight I'd like the cast removing pizza dream as opposed to a highlight reel of my cctv fuck ups.

Night Night all xx

Recurring dream

For the second time in three nights I dreamed I removed my cast using a pizza cutter. Again when I woke up the bitter disappointment that the heavy set sock was still in place was almost too much to take. I'm wondering if it's a sign and that I really should remove it?! I go back to the hospital on Friday so its tempting to take it off and then claim "it fell off". Worth a thought!

Best get off to work. Have a great day!!

Relief from boredom ....

On Sunday the 27th of September I broke my ankle. Due to this I am very limited on a daily basis with getting out and about. Today I was hoping to get out for lunch but sadly for me everyone on the planet has plans today. Everyone but me.
My good friend Chewy - who has plans today - inspired me to start blogging. So here it is.

Setting up this page didn't take as long as I would have hoped and I'm guessing this blog itself isn't going to take too long either so I shall have to find some other ways of entertaining myself for the afternoon ... mostly farmville on facebook i guess. I avoided it for so long and am now hopelessly addicted!

Anyway ... welcome to my blog! And stop by regularly so I can share my random thoughts with you!
