another day ... another dumbass

Wow. They never cease to amaze me.

customer - "do you sell single stamps?"
me - "no sorry, we sell first and second class in books of six or twelve
customer - "oh, so I can't just buy one stamp?"
me - "no dear ... like I just said books of six or twelve"
customer - "hhmmm, can i get single stamps from that till over there?"
me - "the till next to me? no dear still just books of six or twelve?
customer - "do they come in fours?"
me in my head (how many times do I need to say this??!!)
me - "no dear, like I said ... sixes or twelves"
customer - "fair enough i'll take twelve"

HOW!!!!! How do we get from begging for a single stamp, to bartering under the minimum six to just going right in for the maximun of twelve?????
On a plus side .... wont be seeing her in a while!

Another day tomorrow and generally saturday's bring out the best in the general public .... If nothing else it will give me plenty to write about!!!

a day off ....

No work for me today which thrills me no end. Instead my morning consists of Jeremy Kyle and plenty of P.G tips. Pretty perfect morning to be honest.
Lunchtime I am meeting a very good friend for a little catch up, then perhaps just a little retail therapy.
This evenings events I am very much looking forward to. It was Michael's (my fella) birthday on monday and for quite a few weeks I have been planning a little suprise bash for him. Monthly we go to a pub in Rettendon for quiz night. We never win but we always have a blinding time! So anyway, much planning, secret texting trying to get everyone together. All was good. We went over to his mums sunday and he tells his brother he is getting God of War III for his birthday so he needs to come and play it soon. To which his brother replies "well I'm staying thursday after quiz"
SUPRISE quiz??!!!
It was a lot of fun ribbing him for putting his size 13's in it .... and no doubt that ribbing will continue throughout the evening!

Best I read an encyclopedia for a while .... Wish me luck guys haha

Whilst commenting on someone elses blog this evening I remembered I actually have a blog on here. All too often I promise to update regularly then fail to deliver ... but reading back I do have some amusing tales to share.

Right now my fella is playing God Of War III and just hit my foot claiming if I dont do the piano bit for him he will kill me ..... better try that and maybe update with stupid customer of the week very soon!!
